Stella & Geoff | John R. Park Homestead | Ciociaro Club | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

Stella and Geoff met in their second year of college. What started off as a group of friends going to lunch together quickly led to a close one-on-one friendship. Geoff would hide little written notes in Stella’s binder, and it didn’t take long for Stella to fall for Geoff’s thoughtful and kind personality. Shortly after they realized they should start dating, they realized they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. You can see their dreamy engagement photos by clicking here.

Stella started her wedding day off with her closest girlfriends, mimosas in hand. Her Allure Bridal gown had been calling her name since she got up that morning… she could not wait to put it on! Feeling gorgeous and ready to see her soon-to-be husband, Stella had an important pitstop to make, a first look with her dad. Everyone in the room was crying (me included) as her Dad’s eyes filled with tears of joy as he set his eyes on his little girl looking so stunning on her big day.

Geoff and his groomsmen got ready together as a chilly rain fell outside. They donned charcoal Calvin Klein suits pulled together with burgundy ties that matched the bridesmaids’ bouquets. As they finished getting suited up, the rain clouds began to break, and we were able to grab a few photos on the shimmering streets before leaving for St. Mary’s Parish.

After Stella and Geoff walked down the aisle and said their “I do’s“, the wedding party left for John R. Park. The old barns and rustic house on the property served as the perfect backdrop for an autumn, romantic-feeling photo shoot. The weather was moody but lent us the most gorgeous light!

The reception at Ciociaro Club was attended by their closest friends and family. There were lots of happy tears, laughter, and heartfelt speeches. Everyone had a great time celebrating Stella and Geoff. The evening ended with great tunes from Celebrity Music and upbeat dance moves that even the youngest guest could appreciate.

Stella and Geoff, congratulations on your marriage! We had such a great time getting to know you both through your engagement session and wedding. We wish you both the absolute best in the days ahead as Husband and Wife!

Lauren & Ryan | Jackson Park | Fogolar Furlan | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

Lauren and Ryan are like peanut butter + chocolate. One without the other is still good, but together they make perfect sense. Ok, so it’s late and I’m hungry and maybe I shouldn’t be making food analogies… but I really love peanut butter and chocolate and I really love Ryan and Lauren together. Moving on… you may remember these two from their engagement session we posted around this time last year. Since then, they have tied the knot! Let me tell you a little bit about their awesome day.

Lauren’s a super talented make-up artist who spends many of her Saturdays in the company of beautiful brides. However, this Saturday was her Saturday and she was the beautiful bride! At her parents’ home, she along with her closest girlfriends and family prepped and primped. A highlight of the morning was the surprise gift and video message from Ryan (which included some of her most longed for makeup goodies from Sephora). #giftgoals

Ryan’s morning started like many do, getting Koltin and himself ready for the day ahead. Ryan surprise Koltin with a special gift (which included some sweet dino socks). One of my personal favourite photos from the day is of Ryan giving Koltin a kiss on the head before heading out to the church. He’s an incredible father and has given Koltin the ultimate gift in welcoming Lauren into their family as his step-mom.

The happy couple said their I do’s at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish and were announced as husband and wife. After some family portraits, we made our way to Jackson Park. The park was looking fantastic with all of the fresh blooming flowers that Spring gives. Walking through the park with Ryan, Lauren, and their wedding party was like walking through the park with our close friends. Everyone was relaxed and laughing, which made for great pictures!

Their reception took place at Fogolar Furlan. The decor, cake, flowers, all looked great. All of Ryan and Lauren’s hard work and planning had definitely paid off! Their night consisted of enjoying their guests, heartfelt speeches, great music (provided by One Man Out), and of course sweet dance moves.

Ryan and Lauren, we love you two together! You probably don’t even realize it, but the way you respect and support each other speaks volumes about your character. Congratulations on the lifetime of happiness ahead of you! Thanks for bringing us along on this part of your journey. xo

“When Ryan and I first got engaged we knew picking our photographers was going to be at the top of our list of very important decisions. At the end of our initial meeting we knew Josh and Arica were our people. They not only made us feel comfortable, but we shared so many laughs and genuinely felt like we were hanging out with friends that just so happened to be taking our pictures. The passion and creativity they exude shows in the artistic trick shots they capture and the care they take in delivery is exceptional. We couldn’t be happier with our choice in working with this awesome team and are so excited to have these pictures for the rest of our lives!!” –  Lauren & Ryan (more…)

The Scandale Family | Navy Yard Park | Amherstburg, Ontario Family Photographers

Emily & Carmine came to us in search of a natural, fun, and comfortable environment for their family photo shoot. It wasn’t hard to bring their hopes to fruition in downtown Amherstburg. We were able to stroll through the parks and down the sidewalks, smell the flowers, listen to Carmine rock out on his guitar (with his trusty assistant, Nico), and celebrate Evelyn’s first birthday with some delicious ice cream at one of Amherstburg’s most nostalgic ice cream spots, Waterfront Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt.

At their shoot, Nico charmed us with his joyful personality, giving us mega-watt smiles from the beginning and keeping us laughing throughout with his goofy faces and infectious giggles. Evelyn soaked up every cuddle with mom and dad, showing off her beautiful long eyelashes and flashing us her sweet toothy grin every chance she got (and also at every passing puppy!).

Emily, Carmine, Nico, and Evelyn, it was a privilege to capture your family as they are in these young years, doing what they love most. We hope to have the opportunity for years to come. Thanks for choosing us!

“We had been wanting to have professional family photos taken for a while, but put it off because the idea seemed stressful. Fortunately, we decided to work with Josh, Arica and Kristle at Manifesto Photography and the experience turned into fun family outing with results that exceeded our expectations!

We loved their approach, which involved getting to know our family — our interests, habits and quirks — and led to a very personalized feel for the photo shoot. With a one-year old and two-year old, we were hesitant about doing an evening session. Luckily Kristle and Arica were amazing with the kids and put them (and us!) at ease. They are clearly experienced with children and naturally brought out their personalities, keeping them engaged and active throughout the session. We were in awe of their ability to get the kids to pose and smile, which can be a challenge at the best of times! The photo shoot was a breeze, and in the end we had more wonderful pictures than we could have imagined. We fell in love with so many of them!

What impressed us most with our experience was the attention to detail, from the concept design, wardrobe suggestions, viewing session and the photos themselves. Manifesto Photography and their whole team were a perfect blend of professionalism and fun. We felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others and to work with them again in the future!” – The Scandale Family

Micah & Ashley | Kings Canyon & Sequoia National Park | California, USA | Destination Engagement Photographers

There’s something magnificent about being a tiny human surrounded by 1000 year old giants. It’s both terrifying and awe-inspiring, standing in the midst of grand sequoia trees, some- like the General Sherman Tree-currently being the tallest living tree on earth. The stories these trees could tell!

Hiking from top to bottom through Kings Canyon & Sequoia National Park with Micah and Ashley for their #travelwithManifesto destination engagement session was an adventure! We spent the day exploring the rugged landscapes around the park, strolling under canopies of redwood trees with their beautiful rusty red bark contrasting the deep green leaves. Once the sun started to dip below the horizon, we ended our day at a rocky outlook where Micah and Ashley held each other close, enjoying the moment while taking in the best sunset.

Micah and Ashley, congratulations on taking the next step in your lives together! It was so much fun exploring the grandness of the Sequoia’s with you guys. Your sense of adventure and love for each other is inspiring. Looking forward to sharing your Joshua Tree National Park photos very soon!

“From the beginning, working with Josh and Arica was simply amazing; we couldn’t have asked to find two better people to help capture our special day(s). Finding a wedding photographer is easily one of the most important decisions one can make while planning a wedding and after hearing such amazing reviews about their personalities and their work, we just had to meet them for a consultation. And just like everything we had heard, they were nothing short of wonderful and we knew we had to search no more for our wedding photographers. They were always very accommodating and available; our living in Michigan made meeting up difficult at times but when we were able, they welcomed us and even our crazy, sassy, and hyper dog (Hailey) into their home for our consultation! Arica being the animal lover she is, took to Hailey immediately and was great with her, even on our big day and Josh, he was so kind and patient with her even when she was sitting and just barking at him. We knew that they would be great to work with from this moment forward.

We also knew we wanted to travel for our engagement session/wedding photos and once the planning process began, Josh dove in head first and was great at researching ideas, bouncing location ideas off us and just listening to our concerns, wants and needs. We will say, every single one of our wants were met, Josh stopped at nothing to get us what we wanted and to make us happy. You know you’ve met the right person/photographer when they at times appear to be more excited about your wedding photo-shoots than you are! Overall, the planning process with J&A was great…we threw a lot of curve balls at the two of them as well but everything was handled super professionally and even compassionately with a lot of understanding. They were literally always a phone call away and especially when our trip got closer and closer Josh made himself available to plan out last minute details at crazy hours in the night/morning to accommodate my midnight shift schedule. When shooting, they have a way of making you feel comfortable as well.

It’s not easy to have your picture taken and to just “relax”, but with them, it wasn’t long before we were comfortable because of their patience and ease (not to mention the great tips they have to get the smiles/reactions you’ll love to see in your photos). Our pictures turned out perfect and we can’t wait to use Manifesto for all our future photography needs!” -Ashley & Micah

The Whitfield Family | Windsor, Ontario Family Photographers

A childhood home holds years of memories, so when Victoria’s family decided to sell the home she grew up in, she knew she needed to get some photos of her adorable family enjoying the backyard she grew up playing in.

The catch? We had a week before the house was closing, and when the day came for their session it was POURING. The rain was coming down, the fields were soaked, and for a bit, we weren’t sure we were going to be able to make it happen. Despite everything the sky was telling us, I drove to meet the Whitfields at their family home and crossed my fingers that the clouds would part and we could make the session happen. And *praaaise hands*, for one magical hour, the rain stopped and we soaked in the last bit of their time on their family land. Mom and dad loved on their girls, Fiona showed off her twirling skills and picked some flowers for mom and dad, while Maisie soaked up cuddle time with dad and read her favourite book with mom.

They ended their evening snuggled up in blankets enjoying a summertime picnic of watermelon and Fiona’s favourite – corn on the cob.

Victoria, Sean, Fiona, and Maisie –  thank you for bringing me along on your last evening at your childhood home. I loved being able to capture images that will help you remember the space you grew up in and the memories you have created with your own family over the years. I look forward to making more memories together down the road!

Jared & Nicole | Tunnel Mountain Reservoir | Banff, Alberta | Destination Wedding Photographers

Last summer we had the honour of photographing Jared & Nicole’s intimate wedding in Banff, Alberta. Their wedding was a little extra special to us because Jared is the brother of one of our lead photographers, Joshua! Not only did we get to spend a week away with family, but we were surrounded by the most beautiful sites and sounds that Canada has to offer.

Nicole started her morning off with her best gal pals at The Hair Company getting primped and pampered (a rare treat for her, as a hairstylist)! Everything came together wonderfully, from her wildflower bouquet from Willow Flower Co., to her open back dress from It’s Your Day Bridal. The ladies headed back to their hotel at Buffalo Mountain Lodge for a special ‘first look’ with Nicole and her dad. It was such an adorable and emotional moment (scroll down to see dad’s reaction)! From there the two joined the rest of the wedding party and headed towards the ceremony. It was there at the Tunnel Mountain Reservoir beside a staggering mountain range, Jared and Nicole said I do and took their first steps (errr, dance moves!) as husband and wife.

Shortly afterward, some wicked storm clouds rolled in and threatened rain for their wedding party formals. Thankfully, it only poured briefly and we got as lucky as any photographers could be with a gorgeous rainbow! Jared and Nicole are the king and queen of living in the moment and are always up for a random good time, so when we said “hurry, run over there so we can get that rainbow!” they bolted across the field in their wedding clothes laughing and smiling. It was a good thing they did too because that rainbow lasted only a minute or two.

Jared and Nicole, we love you guys! Thank you for including us on this special week away. We absolutely loved our time in Banff with you and the family. We are so happy for you both. Party on! xo

The Palmer Family | John R Park Homestead | Windsor, Ontario Family Photographers

The beginning of a season, pretty flowers, and new life – spring was the perfect time for the Palmer’s family photos. They are at the start of a new season themselves as they will soon become a family of five.

Brett and Andrea are excellent parents. They are patient, attentive, and lavish love on their kids without holding anything back. Gabriella and Nicolas were such a treat to work with. The solid foundation of love they have grown up with has given them security and confidence to be themselves. They both have such delightful personalities! Gabriella’s baby blues and charming smile suit her kind and thoughtful demeanor, while Nicolas’s round cheeks and full lips make him the perfect cuddle partner (he gave his mama the best “kissing monkey” smooches!). G & Nico play well together and can’t wait to meet their new sibling. As you scroll through this post you’ll feel the warmth and love the Palmers share. Enjoy!

Andrea, Brett, Gabriella, and Nicolas thank you for allowing us to capture your family as it is in this very moment. Watching your family grow over the years has been beautiful. We are looking forward to meeting your newest family member sometime soon!

Spring Family Photo Shoot with Manifesto Photography | Windsor, Ontario | John R Park Homestead

“What better way to commemorate a pregnancy and a growing family than to have beautiful keepsake pictures taken? We are so happy to have this moment in time captured because we all know how quickly children grow and change!

Working with Manifesto Photography was honestly a breeze. From concept to completion, they guided us in choosing everything so all we had to do was show up for them to take the reigns! Photos with little ones can be stressful due to the unpredictable nature of kids, but they did an amazing job at keeping the kids engaged, happy and best of all, capturing their personalities without any of it being staged or forced. They are so natural and endearing with children and our two little ones felt immediately at ease. They understand the importance of the short attention spans of kids and made sure they got all the shots we wanted within a very reasonable time frame.

We could not be more thrilled with our photos and would not hesitate to recommend Manifesto Photography to anyone!” –Brett & Andrea Palmer
