The Bradatanu Family | Windsor, Ontario Family Photographers

My two favourite things about summer are the flowers and the sunsets. The warmth is a close third, and the evening of Mable & Bogdan’s family session delivered on every account. Mable is a fashion blogger and expert on all things feminine & pretty, so when we were planning her session, we knew we needed a location that boasted the same. A sprawling private property in Kingsville fit the bill – right across from Lake Erie, it had it’s own pond and vineyards, and a flower covered trellis with a wooden swing. The sun set perfectly over the fields as we shot – and let me tell you, I do a happy dance every time we get a gorgeous sunset. There’s nothing quite like that glow through the trees to amp up a portrait.

Elliana, their little girl, was the first to greet me. In her frilly white dress, she wasn’t shy in the slightest as I got down to introduce myself, and she did the same. Niko, her little brother, was a bit more hesitant but warmed up quickly as he jumped out of the van, pumped to explore the vast property they just landed on. Mable was dressed in a white dress of her own – simple with a lace overlay, and Bogdan in a classic white button-down. Mable nailed the outfit coordination, as expected – she kept it neutral but added variety with textures and patterns.

We started their shoot under a grand oak tree. The sun filtered through as Mable and Bogdan cuddle up and the kids chased each other around them. The remainder of the night was as easy going and lighthearted as the beginning. We played games, the children picked flowers for mom, and dad tossed them up in the air. We brought bubbles out, to their delight, and they danced through them, trying to catch and pop them. Mom set up a picnic (which I fully enjoyed with them, after snapping a few shots), before ending the night reading a book together on the swing under the wooden trellis.

Mable, Bogdan, Elliana, & Niko, Thank you for the lovely summer evening full of picnics, bubbles, and sunsets. I’m already looking forward to your next session!

The Cacilhas Family | John R. Park Homestead | Harrow, Ontario Family Photographers

A warm summer evening, a wide open field to run in, buildings full of character as backdrops, and water to skip rocks in – John R. Park Homestead was the ideal backdrop for the Cacilhas family’s portraits earlier this month.

We had the privilege of photographing Monica and Bruno’s wedding, so when it came time to document their growing family, they reached out to Manifesto once again.

We met in the parking lot as they climbed out of the car and greeted us, catching us up on their lives as they made last minute adjustments – combing the littlest’s hair, straightening Domenic’s shirt. The kids showed up full of energy and were ready to run.

The sun had already started to lower and was peaking through the line of trees, creating a beautiful glow as we started our session. Domenic brought the jokes and silly faces, making us laugh right off the bat while Madelyn was more reserved, full of giggles and sweet smiles. Both showed such care as they doted on their little sister, Leilani, who soaked up every ounce of their love (when she wasn’t squirming out of someone’s arms! In true one year old fashion, she liked to move!).

At the end of the session, Monica and Bruno took a few moments to themselves by the water, enjoying the quiet of the empty property as we took a few portraits of them as a couple. It was past sunset by the time we wrapped up the fun and the kids climbed back into the car, everyone a little more tired than they started, ready to head home to their beds.

Monica and Bruno, thank you for trusting us again with your family’s memories. We’ve loved being with you as your family grows, documenting the love you pour out on your family and getting sneak peaks into the unique personalities each one of your children adds. Together you make an amazing team. Can’t wait until next time!

Summer Family Photo Shoot with Manifesto Photography | Windsor, Ontario | John R Park Homestead

“We want to thank Arica and Kristle for the amazing experience we had with our family photo session. The entire process was fun and effortless. They are able to take a situation which would otherwise be stressful and awkward and make it relaxed and comfortable.

Arica and Kristle were so great with the kids, had them laughing and playing games. The kids are still singing Arica’s improvised song to get the baby’s attention!  I especially love their personalized approach – they really took the time to get to know all of us before and during the session.

We have so many beautiful photos which showcase our emotions and personalities! They are just so talented and genuine, which is why we have kept coming back, and will continue to rely on them to capture these beautiful moments in time for us.”

Jennifer & Chris | Canadian Club Brand Centre | Spagos | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

Jennifer and Chris basically had my dream wedding. It was so relaxed, so intimate, so beautiful… and the food was *kisses fingertips like the food-loving-Italian I am*.

Jennifer’s day started out Caesar’s Windsor’s hotel. When I arrived, makeup artist, Kelly Roberts was busy putting finishing touches on the girls, and Jennifer was cool as a cucumber listening to her favourite tunes and singing along. Her dress from Petrov Bridal fit her like a freakin’ glove which had her looking and feeling great.

When we arrived at Canadian Club Brand Centre, Chris was suited up and ready to marry the woman of his dreams. Honestly, I’m so bummed that this venue is closed now because it is stunning! The gardens looked pristine and the ceremony went off without a hitch. After their I do’s their guests enjoyed the riverfront views, cocktails, and an impressive spread done by The Cheese Bar.

A reception at Spago’s was a first for us, and hopefully not the last. Stepping inside this venue is like stepping into a restaurant in Italy. The rustic wood chairs, the smell of the wood-oven, and hospitable staff mixed with Jennifer’s gorgeous decor and florals… amazing! The guests were welcomed with a large table of fresh appetizers and music. As each course progressed, so did the speeches which had everyone laughing and shedding a few tears. The night ended with dancing and Jennifer and Chris even snuck out for a smooch under the stars.

Jennifer and Chris, we loved spending your wedding day with you! Your easy-going and fun personalities are a treat. We wish you, Daphne, and Mia a long, happy, and healthy life together! xo

Josh and Arica went above and beyond with their attention to detail and really helped the day run smoothly. Their professionalism is reflected in the quality of their work and we couldn’t be happier with our pictures, print, and albums. Thank you Manifesto for capturing our dream wedding with your absolutely stunning photos; we can’t wait to work with you again in the future!” – Jennifer & Chris

Kristen & Ryan | Art Gallery of Windsor | St. Clair Centre for the Arts | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

You may remember Kristen & Ryan’s adorable love story from their engagement session we featured last year. What should have been a blind date set up by their friends never materialized, and the two went on with their separate lives all the while wondering about that “They’re-Perfect-For-You!” someone their friends knew. Then one Christmas evening, happenstance and a bit of holiday magic brought Kristen and Ryan together. Fate had planned their meeting all along!

Kristen started off the morning of her wedding surrounded by her best girl friends, mom, grandma, sisters, and nieces. The house was a buzz with excitement as everyone prepped for the day ahead. After getting dressed in her stunning gown from It’s Your Day Bridal, she shared a special reveal with her dad which was oh-so-sweet!

Ryan and his guys spent the morning getting ready with celebratory drinks in hand. Ryan sported a sharp, three-piece patterned suit from Freeds while his groomsmen wore fitted grey suits with matching ties. The group toasted to a fantastic day ahead with Ryan and headed out the door for St. Anne’s Parish.

After sharing their vows, Kristen and Ryan’s smiles lit up the whole day. From well wishes at the church to the young and old breaking it down on the dance floor at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts, fate had a hand in Ryan and Kristen coming together and it wasn’t going to let their wedding be anything less than spectacular!

Congratulations again Kristen and Ryan to you both on your marriage! You two truly bring out the very best in each other and make the best fur parents around (Diego is such a lucky boy). We are so happy that you have found such great partners in one another. We can’t wait to see where fate takes you next!

April & Stephane | Willistead Park | Windsor, Ontario Maternity Photographers

We first met April & Stephane at the wedding of Natalie & CJ back in 2015. At that time they were two best friends in love that had known each other since grade nine. Soon after the wedding, April & Stephane got engaged and we had the opportunity to capture their engagement session and wedding day. When they announced their pregnancy we were thrilled to be along with them once again on their new adventure into parenthood!

They radiated happiness throughout their maternity session, laughing together while walking around the Willistead Manor property, enjoying one of their last nights as two before they become a family of three. Little knit booties in hand, our conversation swirled around dreams and hopes for the days ahead.

April and Stephane, watching you go from a dating, to engaged, to married, to now becoming parents has been one of our greatest honours and joys. We can’t wait to share your adorable newborn session with the world real soon! Congratulations, Harper is absolutely divine!

Lisa & Patrick | Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery | Windsor, Ontario Engagement Photographers

I’m not sure there’s a more ideal way to meet someone than through mutual friends, and that’s exactly how it went down for Lisa and Patrick. Lisa is bright and has a big heart. Patrick is easy-going, generous and charming. Together, they balance, compliment and bring out the very best in one another.

They’re self-proclaimed homebodies and spend many evenings at home cooking together, playing board games, and watching movies. If they’re not at home, they’re out rollerblading, an activity Patrick decided to do the day he proposed to Lisa. Rightfully so, as Patrick dug deep into their relationship and recreated many of their memories together. He started the day at their favourite breakfast restaurant, the Sandwich Nook, followed by rollerblading on the Ganatchio Trail. As they took a break to tie their rollerblades, Patrick got down on one knee, told Lisa how much he loved her and asked her to be his wife. It was, of course, an immediate ‘YES’ from Lisa, followed by a couple’s massage. And then finally a dinner at The Keg with a reserved table that they had their 1st date at, 5 years ago when he asked her to be his girlfriend. Guys, take note, this is how it’s done. ;)

Lisa & Patrick, thank for choosing us and trusting us to capture your engagement and wedding photos. It is honestly heartwarming to see the way you love each other. Keep on treasuring one another with the love and respect you give to each other on the daily. Can’t wait until your wedding day!

Ginessa & Anthony | Navy Yard Park | Amherstburg, Ontario Engagement Photographers

Ginessa and Anthony are the kind of people you want to be friends with after meeting them just once. They’re kind, positive, and laugh hard. Plus, they like movies and ice cream!

While dreaming up Ginessa and Anthony’s engagement session we tossed around a few ideas and finally settled on the adorable little town of Amherstburg. We wanted a location that could show off their romantic and fun-loving relationship. Navy Yard Park was the perfect spot!

Ginessa and Anthony thank you for choosing us for your engagement and wedding photos! We’re so happy that you found each other, and are honoured to be photographing the next step in your journey together, your wedding day!

“My love, you are sunlight falling through trees. You are laughter that breaks through my sadness. You are the breeze on a too-warm day. You are clarity in the midst of confusion…” – Kiera Cass

Manifesto Photography | Windsor, Ontario Engagement Photographers | Navy Yard Park & Waterfront Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt | Amherstburg, Ontario“It’s always nerve racking when you think about getting your picture taken or having to pose, but this is just not the case with Manifesto. We felt like we could completely be ourselves- nothing was forced or unnatural and the photos truly reflect that. Without a doubt, Josh and Arica are amazing, and in my opinion, there is just no competition. I would choose Manifesto Photography over and over again.” – Anthony & Ginessa
