Sean + Caity | Cedar Point | Destination Engagement Session

Sean and Caity are a fun loving, easy going couple. When we first met with them for their consultation we clicked immediately. Right away we started dreaming about their engagement session together. After throwing a few ideas back and forth we soon realized what we had to do. There was just no other option besides Sandusky, Ohio. We had to capture them in their happiest place on earth, Cedar Point. These two are crazy about Cedar Point and pretty much spend their entire summer here. I’m pretty sure they would live right beside the Top Fuel Dragster if they had the option!

Sean and Caity, Josh and I had a great time exploring the park with you. Josh is so happy to have met a fellow beer snob, and I am thrilled to have met a person who is as equally in love with their pet(s) as I (shout outs to Kitty and Angel), lol. Thank you for choosing us to be your wedding photographers and for bringing us out to Ohio to capture you in your favourite place. Can’t wait to celebrate your wedding day together!

Nick + Michèle | Ottawa, Ontario | Destination Engagement Session

Nick and Michèle are cheerful and kind people. They share a love for exploring new cultures, food and places. In their spare time they enjoy the great outdoors by going for walks and exploring their beautiful city of Ottawa.

We decided to capture their story at ByWard Market, The Alexandra Bridge, and a nearby park. A spring engagement session in Ottawa has got to be one of the most charming things in life. The colourful fruits, veggies and flowers made for an inspiring background. One of our favourite memories from the shoot was meeting a new little friend. While at the park, a very handsome Mallard Duck started following us around. Michèle affectionately named him Donald (pronounced with a french accent, of course).

Nick and Michèle, you are delightful! Thank you for showing us around Ottawa and taking us out to one of your favourite lunch spots! We had a blast exploring Ottawa with you guys, it was like hanging out with old friends! We cannot wait to capture even more memories together soon. Please say ‘Bonjour’ to Otis and Donald for us!

Sergiu + Alice | Loft Engagement Session Part 1

Sergiu and Alice are full of joy. Together they share a love for adventure, music, really good food, and their faith in Jesus. We love their deep respect for each other, solid friendship, and sense of humour.

Over the years we have had the privilege of getting to know Alice. We first met her while photographing some engagement photos for her friends Dani and Jenny in Toronto. We later ran into her at a few weddings for her friends in Kitchener, and soon after hosted her as one of our students in our Windsor DSLR workshops. It has been an absolute pleasure to spend time with them as a couple and to see their relationship unfold. They are a perfect match.

We decided to tell their story at a fairly unique location – a natural light filled loft, brimming with character. We had such a great time at this location that we are actually going to share their photos with you in two separate blog posts. This is number one! There are lots more coming your way, so keep an eye out for those!

Christian + Marianne | Fogolar Furlan Windsor, Ontario Wedding

You may remember Christian and Marianne from their coffee lovers’ engagement session. They are the match made in heaven, hearts of gold, power team!

We kicked off our time with the couple at their ceremony, which took place at Banwell Community Church. This spot is pretty special to them. Not only is it where Christian works as a youth pastor, it is also the place they first laid eyes on each other. It was a heartfelt and sincere ceremony.

We headed out to the Art Gallery of Windsor for some photos before making it to the reception at Fogolar Furlan. These people know how to have a good time! I’m pretty sure the guests stayed to dance or use the photo booth all night long. It was a fantastic celebration!

Christian and Marianne, you aren’t just a cute couple. You love and respect each other, which is a recipe for a lasting and healthy marriage. We are so happy that you found each other and have started the awesome adventure that is marriage! We have so enjoyed our time together and hope to get together for some tasty beverages soon.

Jonathan + Brittany | Great Lakes Coffee Engagement Session

Jonathan and Brittany are a colourful, bubbly, and fun loving couple. Together they share a love for coffee, music, and the arts. We decided to tell their story at two locations. We started at a cafe in Midtown Detroit called, Great Lakes Coffee. Sadly, we only got a few pictures in before we were ushered out by an angry barista, haha! Although we did call ahead to ask about using the space, whoever was on the phone with me and confirmed we could use it, was misinformed. Apparently the owner is not a fan of photographers shooting here! Although we were disappointed, we did enjoy some coffee from there that was out of this world.

Luckily for us Detroit’s cityscape has a lot to offer in terms of unique buildings and character. After roaming around Detroit for a bit, we hopped back over the border and finished off our session in Old Sandwich Town. There is a pretty little park tucked away on the water that offers a fantastic view of the bridge. The sun was going down, and it made for some beautifully lit photos.

Jonathan and Brittany, you are delightful. You are a pleasure to be around, and time flies when we’re together. We really enjoyed sipping on coffee and exploring Detroit with you. Thanks for being flexible when things didn’t go as planned, and for having such an amazing attitude the entire session. We can’t wait for the wedding!

Gabriel + Hannah | Ciociaro Club, Windsor Wedding

Gabriel and Hannah’s winter wedding day started at Hiram Walkers. It was there that the bride and groom shared their “First Look” in a large empty room upstairs. It was absolutely genuine and romantic. After they enjoyed their private moment together, the rest of the wedding party joined in for some photos.

We wanted to incorporate Hannah and Gabriel’s love of books into their wedding photos – while staying out of the cold. Naturally Biblioasis was a perfect spot! It is a welcoming and quaint little bookstore in the heart of Old Walkerville. The couple’s day was spaced out so nicely. We had some great opportunities to shoot in different locations and take our time making sure things were just right. The wedding party even had time to grab lunch across the road at Vito’s Pizzera before heading over to the Apostolic Christian Church for the ceremony. These people knew how to make the most out of their timeline and savour each moment.

Their winter inspired reception took place at Ciociaro Club. We loved the accents of pine cones and greenery around the room. It was tasteful and cozy!

Gabriel and Hannah, we are so glad we met you! You are two of the kindest and sweetest people – a joy to be around. The love that you have for God and each other is evident and wonderful. We feel so happy that you have trusted us to tell your story through photographs. All the best on this new journey as husband and wife!
