The McLennans | Windsor Family Portraits

We’ve been photographing The McLennan Family for about 6 years. Every time we meet again, it is a complete joy to reconnect and see the changes in each child. This fall sessions was one of our favourites yet. Their personalities really shone through in the photos – they know how to have a good time!

Deanna & Trevor, you have done a wonderful job of raising these happy, silly, and polite children. Your love for each other is evident and refreshing. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for continuing to use us for your family portraits. We just love your little family! Hope to see you soon.

At the very bottom of this post, you will see two of the wall displays we made for the McLennan Family. The first display is made up of three 20×20 canvases, showcasing a photo of each child. This display is perfect for over a full sized couch or a queen/king sized bed. The second display is of seven canvases which leads up their staircase. Both turned out beautifully! We are so happy to have grabbed a few snapshots of them in their home. Enjoy!

Jeff + Krista | Hiram Walkers Canadian Club, Windsor Wedding

Jeff and Krista‘s wedding was the perfect combination of elegance and rustic charm. For a November wedding, we sure had beautiful weather with gorgeous pops of colour still on the trees.

The bride’s morning started out at Krista’s parent’s house. As you can see in the first shot, they are a hunting family with a beautiful home. The groom’s morning started off at the best man’s house. He is a builder, and wow, what a fantastic home he has built. Both locations were such a joy to photograph.

After an intimate, quiet ceremony at Hiram Walkers Canadian Club, we went outside for the wedding party photos. The grounds at Hiram Walkers were spectacular. Definitely one of the most charming locations in Windsor to photograph. We could have shot there for hours without running out of little nooks and crannies to use.

The reception took place at Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens. The venue was rustic with touches of burlap, DIY projects, and the famous Colasanti’s donuts! Jeff & Krista’s friends and family were a hoot and their wedding party was goofy, fun, and beautiful. These are the kind of people who know how to enjoy life!

Jeff and Krista, we are so glad that Stacey referred you to us. We have really enjoyed getting to know you, and felt a connection right away. Your day ran so smoothly thanks to your impeccable organization skills. It has been such a pleasure! We hope to see you again soon.

Our Drink Station

Manifesto Photography Drink Station Windsor Ontario

We love having people over to our home office for consultations, photo viewing appointments, and workshops! To show our appreciation for having some of the best clients on the planet, we wanted to create something that would help them feel welcomed and cozy. We looked through the pages of Pinterest for some inspiration and settled on creating a drink station. We have a few pieces yet to be added, but so far we’re pretty happy with it! In a few weeks we should have our custom chalkboard art from one of our past brides, Kristen, who owns Crafted Within and some locally brewed coffee by Whipsaw from Anchor Coffee House! I’ll list what we use and where we got things from under the photos for anyone interested in creating something similar. If you have a question about anything I didn’t mention, feel free to leave it in the comments.

Derik + Alisha | Ciociaro Club of Windsor, Wedding

We’ve been looking forward to Derik and Alisha’s wedding since their first meeting with us. These two are so creative, thoughtful, and in love. We knew it was going to be an incredible celebration.

The girls’ morning started out with pampering and mamosas at One Salon and Spa and ended with final preparations at the Hilton, where they shared some laughs and worked through the butterflies in their stomachs. The guys had a relaxing time at Alisha and Derik’s beautifully renovated home, shining up their cowboy boots and cracking jokes.

The atmosphere at the ceremony was thick with feelings of excitement and love from friends and family. After 12 years together, it was a highly anticipated moment by everyone! Alisha’s cousin Kelsey St. Amour ushered all of us into a special place with her violin playing and the look on Derik’s face when he saw his beautiful bride walked down the aisle pushed our emotions over the edge. It was enough to make this photographer shed a tear!

It started to drizzle out, and since Derik and Alisha are big country fans we thought Bull & Barrel would be a perfect spot for some fun wedding party photos. Once the weather cleared up, we headed over to Willistead Park for some pictures of the newly married couple with the gorgeous fall colours.

Derik and Alisha love hosting parties and anyone who knows them will tell you they go all out. Naturally their wedding at Ciociaro Club was the party of all parties and wow did their guests know how to have a good time! We stayed late into the night just to enjoy the entertainment from Celebrity Music and the phenomenal singing of Alisha’s Dad, Harrison Kennedy, and her good friend Jen Knight.

Derik and Alisha, we are so happy to have met you. You two are unforgettable. Our most genuine congratulations to you on the latest addition! We just know baby Bober is going to have two of the most amazing parents a child could hope for, and dang that is going to be one adorable baby. We hope you will allow us the honour of capturing your special moments together as a family one day. God bless you both on your newest adventures as husband and wife! xo

Thanks for this! So many couples don’t know this and then they end up regretting it when they don’t spend enough. Yes, some photographers are cheaper, but there is a reason. Usually inexperience unfortunately. ReplyCancel

  • Mary WhiteFebruary 24, 2014 - 6:28 PM

That is so very true. When I hear people who have lost their homes say nothing matters if we are all okay…and I wish I felt that way but I would be absolutely devastated if I lost my picture albums, the pictures on the walls and the scrapbooking albums I have done…they can’t be replaced either. It would not compare to losing a loved one, no, but saying they don’t matter isn’t possible for me to say.ReplyCancel
