Our photography approach is simple.

We want to get to know you, so that we can bring your heart, beliefs, and aspirations into each photo that we take.

We don't just want to take great photos, we want to tell a story. Your story!

Jonathan + Brittany | Great Lakes Coffee Engagement Session

Jonathan and Brittany are a colourful, bubbly, and fun loving couple. Together they share a love for coffee, music, and the arts. We decided to tell their story at two locations. We started at a cafe in Midtown Detroit called, Great Lakes Coffee. Sadly, we only got a few pictures in before we were ushered out by an angry barista, haha! Although we did call ahead to ask about using the space, whoever was on the phone with me and confirmed we could use it, was misinformed. Apparently the owner is not a fan of photographers shooting here! Although we were disappointed, we did enjoy some coffee from there that was out of this world.

Luckily for us Detroit’s cityscape has a lot to offer in terms of unique buildings and character. After roaming around Detroit for a bit, we hopped back over the border and finished off our session in Old Sandwich Town. There is a pretty little park tucked away on the water that offers a fantastic view of the bridge. The sun was going down, and it made for some beautifully lit photos.

Jonathan and Brittany, you are delightful. You are a pleasure to be around, and time flies when we’re together. We really enjoyed sipping on coffee and exploring Detroit with you. Thanks for being flexible when things didn’t go as planned, and for having such an amazing attitude the entire session. We can’t wait for the wedding!
