Justin & Ann | Beach Grove Golf & Country Club | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

Remember Justin and Ann? Last Spring, we shot their rustic and romantic engagement session (see it here) on the couple’s farm. We’d been looking forward to their wedding ever since that fun-filled meeting! Ann is a family-oriented girl, who radiates happiness and generosity wherever she goes. Justin is hardworking when it comes to his farm, and has the most caring heart when it comes to Ann. Together, they love going for drives with country music playing in the background, and spending time with their dog, Hutch. Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of their love – full of kindness, laughter, and cowboy boots.

The couple exchanged vows at St. Mary’s Church, surrounded by family and friends. From there, it was off to Justin’s parent’s farm, the most fitting spot to capture photos of this fun-loving wedding party. The reception kicked off that evening at Beach Grove Golf & Country Club. It was clear that everyone came to celebrate in a big way! Justin and Ann’s nearest and dearest gave touching speeches, and there was no shortage of laughter or dancing the whole night long. As the sun set, the bride and groom were able to slip away and steal a moment alone at the water’s edge to take it all in.

Justin and Ann, we are so grateful that you allowed us to be a part of your special day. We had a blast celebrating the two of you and your genuine, heartwarming love for one another. We wish you the very best!

Brandon & Annalyssa | Windsor, Ontario | Engagement Photographers

There’s no denying the fact that Annalyssa and Brandon are freaking awesome. For starters, they decided to hold part of their engagement session at a local comic book store, Rogues Gallery Comics.  It was the best spot to showcase their loveable personalities and their appreciation of everything comics. They’re regulars at Comic Con and are loyal followers of Dr. Who. Looking at these two and their photos, it’s easy to see that they’re a great match; the easy laughter and sweet hugs leave no question about that. You’d never know they don’t love being behind the camera because they’re total naturals!

After getting our comic book fix, we headed down to the riverfront to capture Annalyssa and Brandon in another one of their natural elements; a coffee date and waterside walk. The evening ended with a captivating pink and purple sunset behind the glittering Detroit skyline.

Annalyssa and Brandon, we had so much fun spending time with you two! It was a true pleasure getting to know you better, and laughing our night away together. We can’t wait for the wedding day!

Kimberley & Kyle | Fogolar Furlan | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

Kimberley and Kyle are one of those couples who are totally relaxed and at ease with one another, despite their on-the-go lifestyle. They balance their busy ways with downtime spent reading, going for walks, and being with their dog, Tucker. After getting to know them, it came as no surprise that their classic, formal wedding was also a perfect balance; full of glamorous details to perfectly compliment all of the heartwarming emotional moments. The sweetest thing about this pair and their wedding? They both agreed that seeing one another for the first time was the most important part of their big day.

That poignant moment came at St. Mark’s by the Lake church, when Kim arrived and began the walk down the aisle towards her future husband. After the ceremony, we headed out to Stop 26 Ice Cream parlor to cool off and then to Willistead Park to capture their bright and bubbly love. From there, the reception kicked off at Fogolar Furlan, where friends and family toasted the happy couple, snacked on sweets, and danced the night away!

Kimberley and Kyle, it was an honor to capture the excitement you two have for starting your lives together. We wish you days filled with adventure, happiness, and love. We know that you’ll bring your easy going attitudes to whatever life throws your way!

Danny & Erica | St. Francis of Assisi Parish Hall | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

Danny and Erica, a wonderful couple full of life and kindness, got married last November, and we wanted to wish them a happy one year anniversary through a wedding reflection post!

They say when you know, you know and this statement couldn’t be more accurate for Erica and Danny. Through trips abroad to San Fransisco and the Dominican Republic, relaxing evenings hanging out with a glass of wine, and simply sharing small moments of their days together, Erica and Danny knew they had found their you know person.

Friends and family gathered together one surprisingly snowy Saturday last November at St. Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church to witness the first steps Danny and Erica took as husband and wife.  After celebrations and congratulations, we headed over to the Low-Martin House for an intimate portrait session while delicate little snow flakes fell softly to the ground. It wasn’t supposed to snow as the weather had been warm that week, but as if an answer to prayer, the tiny little flakes fell from the sky slowly, then all at once and added a sense of romance to our shoot. We lit a fire in the house to warm up, and Erica and Danny cozied together, sharing smiles and laughs.

The evening went on to St. Francis Of Assisi Parish Hall where the celebrations and congratulations carried on. There was lively dancing, touching speeches, delicious food, and continuous festivity throughout the evening for everyone. Towards the end of the night, Erica and Danny managed to steal away from the party for some winter wonderland photos outside. Snow whirled around their heads, piled at their feet, and fell on their eyelashes as they laughed, kissed, and reveled in their new status as Husband and Wife.

Danny and Erica, congratulations on your first year of marriage! We remember your special night well and couldn’t be happier for you both. We wish you continuous happiness and prosperity in the years to come.

CJ & Natalie | Fogolar Furlan | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

Do these gorgeous people look familiar to you? If you’ve followed our work for some time, you might recognize CJ & Natalie from their Joshua Tree National Park engagement session. What an awesome adventure it was for us to travel together and get to know each other more! The things we’ve learned about Natalie & CJ are these, they work hard, know how to have fun, have an impressive attention to detail, and are crazy about each other. Their families mean the world to them, and their connection and bond is a solid one.

Photographing their wedding day allowed us to watch so many meaningful moments unfold. After the first look between the soon-to-be husband and wife, CJ surprise his Bride with a handmade bench. The meaning of this bench is deep and if you read through their engagement story on their engagement blog post, you’ll understand why it was so special.  We watched Natalie’s little sister look up to her in awe and admiration the entire day. We watched them greet their closest friends and family at the door with great joy and deep love. We watched their first dance and felt the love between them knowing their love story that hides behind every glance, smile, and kiss. We watched CJ comfort his mom during their first dance with the sweetest kiss a son could give right on her forehead. These are moments we don’t take for granted. These are moments that increase in value as the years progress. These are moments that humble us greatly to be trusted with capturing.

Before I become a blubbering mess (again), let’s get to the wedding details! CJ & Natalie started off their time together with a ‘first look’ and their wedding party portraits at the Iron Kettle Bed & Breakfast and then headed to St. Mary’s Church for the ceremony. The reception took place at Fogolar Furlan. The band Ciao rocked the house all night and got everyone dancing. What a spectacular day!

CJ and Natalie, we are so lucky to have you as clients and friends. We hope that you will always be able to look back on your wedding photos and remember exactly how you felt that day! We wish you all the best and hope to see you real soon.

Chris & Shauna | Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery | Engagement Photographers

Shauna and Chris are completely in sync. They share a love for travel, yoga, and delicious cuisine. They are big time family people and have hearts of gold. They are the best kind of people who add a little extra sparkle in this world and we adore them for it!

When planning this engagement session, we tossed around a bunch of ideas. Shauna had her heart set on wearing the gorgeous dress, the Karla Drama Gown by Nha Khanh, which you will see below. It served as our inspiration for this entire shoot, and with Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery as our backdrop, we had a winning combination. We wanted it to be fun, flirty, and romantic – and we can confidently say, mission accomplished! The photos turned out great, and the gorgeous sunset (that just so happened to match their colour scheme!) was the icing on the cake!

The whimsical flower crown was created by Gail’s Flowers & Event Decor, and X&O macarons and glittery cookie stacks were done by Shelby’s Sweet Shoppe. How lucky are we to have collaborated with two remarkable wedding vendors for this session?!

Shauna and Chris, we are so pumped to be your engagement and wedding photographers. You’re a pleasure to be around and we are really looking forward to capturing lots of memories together in the coming years!

Jeff & Alyssa | Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery | Amherstburg, Ontario Wedding Photographers

You may remember Jeff & Alyssa from their beach engagement session last year. Since that time, we’ve had the honour of getting to know them more, along with spending some time with their friends and family. As we’ve gotten to know the hearts and minds of Jeff & Alyssa, all we can see is light and love. We feel the biggest reason for their beaming smiles and heartfelt hugs comes from the heaps of kindness, thoughtful generosity, and hope that is thrown their way from the people in their lives. It’s easy to see why they shine so brightly. Being a part of that community for even this short time has been a blessing to our lives.

Ok, let’s talk about this fab wedding! Jeff & Alyssa started off their time together with a ‘first look’ before the ceremony, and then headed out to the beautiful grounds of Sprucewood Winery to take some photos with their awesome wedding party. We then moved into the ceremony which took place facing the beach. It was a gorgeous day.

Alyssa & Jeff thought of so many personalised details, it’s hard to list them all. Some of our favourites included the handmade door printed with the dinner menu, the lawn games for the cocktail hour, and the special heart Alyssa’s mom made and sewed into Alyssa’s dress (right over her heart) to remind her that her late dad was right there with her all day.

Their reception was filled with dancing, laughing, and epic speeches. A few tears were shed, but only from an overflowing of positive emotions. The food was fantastic, the room gorgeous, and the guests inviting and hospitable! A wonderful day to celebrate the coming together of two spectacular souls.

Jeff and Alyssa, you know we adore you. May you always laugh as hard at each other’s jokes, enjoy the feeling of sand between your toes, crave the next best adventure, and surround yourselves with people as wonderful as you. God bless you both!

“Her smile was like laughter to me— it bubbled in like champagne.” ― Atticus
