Amy & Matthew | Detroit Public Library | Windsor, Ontario Engagement Photographers

Amy and Matthew began their friendship at a young age, and became closer as the years went on over long car rides to school together. Matthew describes Amy as beautiful, smart, and affectionate, and Amy describes Matthew as generous, handsome, and intelligent. Together they make an adventure seeking, travel loving, and very snuggly couple! If they’re not reading some of their favourite books (*cough cough* Harry Potter) or watching Game of Thrones together, Amy and Matthew are probably out embracing their inner foodie with a glass of wine on a restaurant’s terrace.

The couple had their hearts set on using the Detroit Public Library as the backdrop for their dreamy engagement session. We had to agree, it was the ideal spot to showcase their relationship! The rows of books, the long dimly lit hallways (that were very Harry Pottery-esque), and the intimate rooms upon rooms made for such a romantic spot. Once we were finished inside, we headed outdoors to a pretty parkette right outside the library. It was the perfect place for snuggling on a blanket and sharing a dance under the freshly bloomed trees.

Amy and Matthew, thank you for choosing us as your engagement and wedding photographers! We had the best time with you, and are highly anticipating all of the wedding shenanigans coming up this August!

David & Blair | Beach Grove Golf & Country Club | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

You may remember David and Blair from their winter engagement session this past December. Well, just a few short months later, here we are celebrating their wedding day! If there was an award for most relaxed and ‘in the moment’ wedding couple, Dave and Blair would win! Their day began and ended at the stunning grounds of Beach Grove Golf & Country Club. Blair arrived that morning, bright eyed and ready to get the party started. Her best friend, Kelly, was there that morning to help with all the fine details, and buttoned Blair into that gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown. Dave was looking mighty dapper in his Jack Victor tux from 67 Richmond and couldn’t wait to see his bride.

Dave and Blair decided on a secret first look, so we gathered in a private room to capture the special moment before their ceremony (see the delightful photos below). You could see the genuine excitement and joy on their faces. We lead the soon to be bride and groom outside for some portraits under the freshly bloomed trees and across the road to the golf course.

Although it was calling for rain that morning, the sun came out just in time for the formal portraits and outdoor ceremony. What a gift! Pastor Linda, a long-time friend of the bride, did a lovely job facilitating the intimate service. Soon after the guests headed inside for a cocktail hour and enjoyed the soothing sounds of Walter Senko and band, that was put together by the music loving bride.

David and Blair envisioned an elegant, yet rustic reception space and their vision came to life with the help of Jen, at Elegance by Design. The space was decorated with simple and fresh greenery provided by Rainbow Flowers and hand drawn chalkboard art by Rustic Charms. After an incredible meal, guests enjoyed delicious goodies provided from Shelby’s Sweet Shoppe who followed the elegant and rustic vibe to a T. Their day came together beautifully, just like they did as a couple, so well suited for one another.

Blair and David, you pulled it off! What an incredible day to be a part of. Thank you for choosing us to capture your engagement and wedding photos! We hope you love the photos, and that they transport you back to all of the feelings you felt that day. God bless you both!

Jordan & Laura | Mastronardi Estate Winery | Kingsville, Ontario Wedding Photographers

You may remember Jordan & Laura from their 2014 engagement sessions shot in sunny California. Talk about a dream location! These two are lucky enough to call the sparkling ocean and those rolling hills their home. Let me tell you a bit about them! Laura, a thoughtful, generous, and admitted chocolate lover first caught Jordan’s eye back in their high school years. She was a total babe back then (I have seen the #tbt photos) and still is today. Jordan easily stole her heart with his laid back personality, perfect hair, and talented hockey skills. Together they are an outdoor loving, tea drinking, movie-going couple who are wildly photogenic (they seriously made our job easy)!

Alright, let’s jump into the wedding day! Laura began her day at her parent’s home surrounded by her closest gal pals and a talented team of hair and makeup artists. The house was surprisingly calm (for a wedding morning). Laura couldn’t wait to jump into her gorgeous wedding gown by Berta Bridal and share a special ‘first look’ with her dad. Family means the world to Laura, and she means the world to them. You can literally see her mom and dad’s looks of admiration and honour throughout the wedding day. It was enough to melt this Italian girl’s heart!

Jordon’s morning preparations began with friends at Caesar’s Windsor. As per usual, his hair and style were on point. We loved his skull socks and Hugo Boss suit. The guys shared some laughs before heading to the Art Gallery of Windsor for Jordan and Laura’s ‘first look’ and wedding party portraits. Their first look was adorable (see below), and their glamourous wedding party was super supportive of the happy couple. They soon after headed to their ceremony and reception venue, Mastronardi Estate Winery, to celebrate becoming Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Nolan! After a delicious meal and gorgeous desserts, Jordan and Laura snuck out with us for a few sunset shots. We were back before the friends and family kicked off the party with an impromptu conga line.

Jordan & Laura, you guys are the real deal. One thing we can say for certain, you two genuinely cherish and love each other with that “through thick and thin” type of love. You get each other in a very special way, and we are tremendously happy you have found your forever home in each other. Thank you for bringing us into your lives, and for choosing us to capture these special memories. Go Kings!

Geoff & Stella | Point Pelee National Park | Leamington, Ontario Engagement Photographers

Stella has insanely brilliant blue eyes, a fabulous sense of humour, and enough energy to go around. Geoff is a baseball lover, about as relaxed as they come, and has a great smile that’s dangerously contagious. Their love of education and caring for children lead them to meet in College while studying to be Early Child Educators. They hit it off and have been joined at the hip ever since.

Geoff and Stella really wanted a winter engagement session. We booked their shoot for February thinking that would give us a chance for snow. Well, it turns out they had a gorgeous winter day with temperatures in the 60’s! Thankfully Point Pelee National Park had some amazing ice flows that allowed us to still capture the winter wonderland for at least part of their session. For the overall feel of the shoot, we wanted the atmosphere to be low key and peaceful. Stella and Geoff totally delivered with their comfortable and adorable love of each other. You all know we love those sweet genuine moments the best! The session ended with a stunning sunset, which made the perfect backdrop for us to snap some sweet kisses between these two best friends.

Geoff & Stella, thank you for opening yourselves up to our cameras. Photographing you both was a breeze! We are happily anticipating your upcoming wedding and of course photographing you both again.

  • […] Stella and Geoff met in their second year of college. What started off as a group of friends going to lunch together quickly led to a close one-on-one friendship. Geoff would hide little written notes in Stella’s binder, and it didn’t take long for Stella to fall for Geoff’s thoughtful and kind personality. Shortly after they realized they should start dating, they realized they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. You can see their dreamy engagement photos by clicking here. […]ReplyCancel

David & Blair | Leamington, Ontario | Engagement Photographers

I have been lucky enough to know the beautiful woman featured in this post for the past 20 years. Blair is radiant, caring, and has the best smile. Dave is kind, patient, and has a knack for putting that big smile on Blair’s face with ease. He won us over instantly! Together they are an excellent combination. Blair and Dave are always on the go and enjoy an active lifestyle of running, biking, canoeing, and kayaking. When they finally settle in at home, you can find them in the kitchen whipping up a gourmet (gluten and peanut-free) meal.

Their rustic themed engagement session took place at Warkentin’s Christmas Tree Farm. The crisp air on this December day didn’t keep them cold for too long, they brought hot cocoa to warm them up, along with twinkly lights to glisten through the branches of the trees. The tree farm definitely set the mood for an intimate and relaxed shoot to be remembered. The grounds are peaceful and filled with beautiful trees and pathways. It was the perfect spot for the natural vibe we were going for.

Blair and Dave your wedding is almost here! We are so excited for you both to begin your journey forward as husband and wife! Thank you for choosing us to capture the epic celebration that is about to unfold! We adore you both!

Colleen & Demetri | Lake Louise, Alberta | Destination Engagement Photographers

Today’s photos come to you all the way from beautiful Lake Louise, Alberta. Can you imagine a more ideal setting to get engaged in? Lucky for bride-to-be Colleen, she didn’t have to! This gorgeous spot is the view they enjoyed the day Demetri asked her to marry him, while on a hike up in the mountains. Talk about romantic! We were overjoyed about this epic location, and spending our day with such a happy couple was the icing on the cake. The scenery was only made more picture perfect once we got Colleen and Demetri behind the lens. They’re quick to cause one another to laugh, and they spent the day making even more memories in a place that’s become extra special to them.

We started out their session with photos at by lake, the perfect backdrop for this outdoor loving duo. From there, we headed just a few steps away to the Fairmont Chateau, a classic setting to photograph Colleen and Demetri all done up for date night. The stunning architecture, magnificent landscape, and totally in love couple all added up to one perfect day in our books!

Colleen and Demetri, we would make the trip for your engagement shoot again and again! Thanks for sharing a spot that is so treasured by you two. We so appreciate your warm and inviting personalities. Dinner at Nourish was the best (we still talk about it)! We can’t wait to capture each and every special moment at your wedding.

Stephen & Stephanie | Caboto Club | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

Nothing says love quite like flowers, and Stephen and Stephanie’s wedding day was in full bloom! Their romantic garden wedding was an elegant affair from start to finish, featuring classic details and beautiful floral arrangements. The fresh garden feel was a perfect fit for bride Stephanie, a lover of time spent outside in the sunshine. Her fun personality and penchant for laughter are the perfect match for Stephen’s happy, low-key attitude. As a couple, Stephen & Stephanie enjoy good food, good wine, and good friends. Their day had all that and more, and we’re so excited to share it with you now!

Their touching ceremony was set at Ste. Anne’s Church, followed by wedding party photos at the Bride’s parents’ stunning property. The family gardens were inviting and warm. The scent of flowers filled the air, which made the whole experience a bit more magical. Soon we made our way to Giovanni Caboto Club for a night of dining and dancing. After an amazing feast, the couple treated guests to a sweet summer treat from Guarda Luna Gelato. From there, the band One Man Out took to the stage, and the dance floor was officially packed! Admittedly, it was missing Stephen and Stephanie briefly, as they headed outside for a dance under the stars as the night came to a close.

Stephen and Stephanie, we were honored to have captured your engagement and wedding photos! We had the best time getting to know you two. We wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, and fresh flowers!
