Kostya + Karina | Cave Spring Cellars | Jordan, Ontario Wedding Photographers

You may remember Kostya and Karina from their breathtaking Elora Gorge engagement session. This time around we had the honour of photographing their wedding in yet another beautiful natural setting Jordan, Ontario. For those of you who don’t know, Jordan is located right in the middle of Niagara wine country. If you’re ever looking for a local place to escape to for a few days, this is it!

Karina and Kostya chose to host their ceremony at Cave Spring Vinyard, nestled along a terrace of the niagara escarpment. The weather was outstanding, and friends and family came from all over to support them. There were so many details that made their day unique. From the custom arbour that Karina’s dad built for them, to the lawn games for guests following the ceremony, Karina and Kostya’s wedding was as much personal as it was elegant. We also loved all of the cute wood signage they placed around the vineyard.

Their reception followed at Cave Spring’s Inn on the Twenty. The history and architecture of the Inn and surrounding buildings was remarkable. These are the places we feel so inspired to photograph! The decor inside the Inn was speckled with pink, coral and gold, and all of the centrepieces were accented with delicate peonies.

Kostya and Karina, your wedding day was spectacular! Not one detail of it was put together without great care. We are so honoured that you chose us to come photograph your engagement and wedding day. All the best to you both as you move forward in this life as husband and wife!

Steve + Brittany | Kingsville, Ontario Engagement Photographers

Steve and Brittany are just all around good people! They’re super fun and outgoing, and couldn’t be a better match for each other. After four years of being together, they’re still falling more in love. Their favourite ways to make memories are hiking, camping, fishing, or pretty much anything to do with the outdoors, as long as it’s with their two dogs, Cedar and Porter. Cedar is an eager to please Viszla who has more energy than he knows what to do with, and Porter is one of the most affectionate boxers we’ve ever met.

We decided to start their shoot on Steve’s family farm. The original home that Steve’s grandpa lived in on the property still stands, and the farm is an oasis for both Steve and Brittany. It’s a place they enjoy melting hours away while chatting on the porch with a good bottle of wine as their dogs run wild and free.

Their session just wouldn’t have been complete without a little fishing (one of Steve’s favourite past times), and a stroll along on the beach.

Steve and Brittany, we’ve loved getting to know you two just a little bit more. You’re kind and generous people, that are such a joy to be around. Your relaxed personalities are so refreshing, and we can’t wait to hang out again soon!

Jordan + Shauna | Windsor Maternity Photographers

Snapping these maternity photos for Jordan and Shauna felt like finishing the first book in an epic series.

Our photo journey with them began in May of 2012 when we shot their engagement session on a ridiculously hot day. Truly committed to the aesthetic cause of their shoot, Jordan and Shauna rode 45 minutes from Tecumseh to Leamington in a non-air conditioned truck in order to transport a rowboat as a prop. It still baffles us that they somehow managed to look incredibly attractive despite the sweaty drive. The addition of the rowboat to the marshland scenery took the photos from beautiful to magical. And then, the magic continued when we photographed their wedding in October of 2012.

A few months back, Josh and I were scrolling our Facebook newsfeed when we came across an adorable photo of Jordan and Shauna’s Airedale, Quentin. He was sitting next to a sign that read “Big Brother, October 2014”. Within an instant we were giggling and had a mini dance party celebration in the office.

For this maternity session, we opted for their home as an artistic backdrop, a very fitting choice because of the time they have spent meticulously decorating it and making it their own. The yummy treat add-ons are from Shauna’s sister, Shelby, of Shelby’s Sweet Shoppe. Following their homey photo session, we headed over to Brunet Park where we had captured their wedding photos—perhaps, we hope, a little tradition in the making as their family grows.

Jordan and Shauna, seeing you blossom as a family has been an absolute honour, and we so appreciate you for trusting us with all of these special moments. We can’t wait to start the next book in our photo adventures together.

A new baby is like the beginning of all things… wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.” – Eda J. Le Shan

Rajiv + Amy | St. Thomas, Ontario Engagement Photographers

Rajiv and Amy are full-time, professional animal lovers! They work together day in and day out caring for animals at their Animal Hospital, Beaver Creek in St. Thomas, Ontario. Their business isn’t ‘just a job’ to them, it’s their passion (and they work so well together)!

When they asked us to come out to their little piece of heaven in St. Thomas, we were thrilled! The ranch that their horse, Ralley, lives at is stunning! I can see why they enjoy winding down from a busy day here. It really was the perfect backdrop to capture their personalities and love for each other.

Raj and Amy, thanks for welcoming us into your home and for introducing us to your adorable and sweet fur children. Ralley is such a character! We are really looking forward to adding Sydney & Darla to the wedding pictures very soon!

Harry + Kylie | Leamington, Ontario Engagement Photographers

Harry and Kylie are genuinely rad people. They’re both down to earth, have caring hearts and a great sense of humour. Together they like to cook, go on bike rides, and travel together. Whenever they get the opportunity to go on a trip, they manage to find their way to a beach. Point Pelee National Park was the perfect backdrop to tell their story.

Minus a little humidity, we had awesome weather for their shoot! The sky was just a little hazy, which made for some spectacular photos at dusk. I loved all of the details that they brought together for their shoot. The bike basket full of flowers, Kylie’s big ol’ floppy hat (that she totally rocked), and their vintage picnic basket. They did a great job styling their session!

Harry and Kylie, it’s been great getting to know you a bit more throughout this past year. You two fit together perfectly, and we’re so happy you found each other. Please let us know when you decide to get a puppy so we can go for walks together ;)! I’m sure Buddy would love a new friend. Looking forward to your upcoming wedding!

Ryan + Sarah | Windsor, Ontario Engagement Photographers

You know when you first meet someone, and you can tell within an instant that you’re going to be friends? Well, we totally felt like that when we met Ryan and Sarah! They’re lighthearted, fun-loving, and overall genuinely good people.

Ryan and Sarah are crazy in love, and crazy about food. As foodies ourselves, we really like that about them! We know picnics are the ‘thing’ to do for engagement sessions now a days, but these two actually have picnics on the regular! We just had to incorporate that into their session. Side note, Ryan is an outstanding chef at Vito’s Pizzeria. Go there!

Ryan and Sarah, you fit together like two puzzle pieces! We’re looking forward to having dinner together in the near future. We can’t wait for the wedding!
