Christian + Marianne | Salute Espresso Bar Engagement Windsor, Ontario

Christian and Marianne are a match made in heaven. They share a passion for helping youth and together, they are a power team! Christian is the Youth Ministries Director at Banwell Community Church, and Marianne is a Youth Outreach Worker. Their hearts are pure gold.

They spend much of their not-so-free time chatting over coffee about plans for their future. We thought it fitting to have part of their engagement session done at Salute Espresso Bar, in downtown Walkerville. We love the coffee culture there. The owner Dane is pretty much insane about coffee – get him talking about it and you will learn so much! He was so gracious to allow us to warm up and take some candid shots at his Espresso Bar. Definitely check it out if you get the chance, you will have the best cup of coffee you’ve ever had – I promise!

Once the sun started going down, we took off to a little park that Christian had suggested. Although it was freezing cold, we warmed up by exploring little spots in the park and between shots we did jumping jacks and danced. Christian now knows all about my sweet dance moves.

Christian and Marianne, you two are adorable together. Your love and respect for each other is obvious, and what a shining light that is to all of the youth that look up to you both. God bless you for who you are, and all you do! We so look forward to capturing more memories together very soon.

Wade + Amanda | Rustic Engagement Session Amherstburg, Ontario

Wade and Amanda are loving, sweet, and always smiling. When they suggested the neighbours’ barn for their engagement session, we felt it was a great place to showcase their colourful, authentic, and down-to-earth personalities. We loved exploring and finding little bits and pieces and hidden corners to incorporate into the session. As a dog lover, I was over the moon happy when Amanda brought her furry friend along to announce their wedding date in some of the pictures. How cute is this little creature?! Once the sun started setting, we took off across the street to enjoy the views and capture some stunning shots of them being adorable. Take a look below!

Wade and Amanda, we have really enjoyed getting to know you both a little more! We can’t wait to celebrate your wedding day with you, as we celebrate our 4 year anniversary on the same day. Thanks for choosing us to capture such important photos!

Jason + Kristen | St. Clair College Centre for the Arts, Windsor Wedding

You may remember Jason and Kristen from their cozy fall engagement session last year. They are the chocolate chip cookie addicts, who love the outdoors and their silly golden retriever, Lucy (who is now very famous on Pinterest, I might add). Their wedding day was filled with personal touches from Jason’s rugby socks, to Kristen’s hand written and designed chalkboards. Everything was as thoughtful as it was beautiful.

We kicked off our time together with a touching “First Look” at The Art Gallery of Windsor. It was a beautiful, private moment I’m sure they will remember for the rest of their lives. We feel so blessed to have captured that special moment.

We then headed over to St. Clair College Centre for the Arts for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony took place outdoors on the balcony overlooking the Detroit skyline. It was absolutely a perfect day for an outdoor ceremony!

Jason and Kristen, it’s always an honour to capture someone’s wedding photos, but your wedding was just a little extra special since Kristen and I go back to Junior Kindergarten. Jason, you are a blessed man to have such a kind hearted, creative and beautiful wife! Kristen, you found a good one! I just know Jason and you will be best friends for life. God bless you both on your new journey as husband and wife. Feel free to stop by anytime for some tea and cookies, and please bring Lucy! xo

Anthony + Kara | The Willistead Windsor, Ontario Engagement

Anthony & Kara are happy, cheerful, and bright. They have been together for 7 years and their love is strong. We were thrilled when they suggested a nice restaurant as a backdrop for their session and immediately thought of The Willistead Restaurant. It’s classy, it’s rustic and their food is as tasty as it is beautiful – definitely check it out.

Anthony and Kara, we just love you two together! We’ve so enjoyed getting to know you both more through our workshops, your engagement session and our talks over tea. Thank you for allowing us to capture your romance. God bless <3

Endrit + Blerina | Willistead Manor and St. Clair College Centre for the Arts

You may remember Endrit and Blerina from their engagement session back in May. They are the high school sweethearts who enjoy food, wine, traveling and their cat muffin (who even made it into their wedding pics – see below).

Their wedding day was speckled with touches of pink, gold and mocha – which I think describes them perfectly. They’re warm, loving, kind people with hearts of gold who love a great cup of espresso. Their ceremony took place at the gorgeous Willistead Manor, and carried onto an delicious reception filled with dancing, laughs and full bellies at St. Clair College Centre for the Arts.

Endrit and Blerina, the more we get to know you, the more we love you. You’re wonderful people and we just know your going to have a wonderful life together as you head on this new path as husband and wife. Let’s grab some desserts and warm drinks soon. xo

Chris + Jaclyn | Lakeshore, Ontario Engagement

Chris is a positive guy, with a genuine smile. He is a teacher, who enjoys good penmanship and Tom Shoes. Jaclyn is a bubbly gal, who is a self-professed ‘hugger’ (she gives good hugs people). She is a registered nurse, who is thoughtful and caring. These two are blessed to have found their matching puzzle piece back in their high school days. Anyone who knows them will tell you, they’re a perfect fit.

This colourful, rustic engagement session took place on Jaclyn’s grandparent’s farm. It was gorgeous and meaningful to photograph. Now, let me take a moment to explain the pancakes…

One beautiful morning, Chris got up early and started making pancakes while Jaclyn slept in on one of her few days off. Once the meal was prepared, they spent their morning scrolling through the pages of their old scrapbook reminiscing over letters, cards and photographs. Chris asked Jaclyn if he could take a new photo of them for their scrapbook right then. She was confused at why he would want a photo of them first thing in the morning, but after hearing Chris say “I think you will want to have a picture from when you got engaged” she quickly agreed! Of course, she said yes.

Chris and Jaclyn got engaged over pancakes surrounded by years of memories – could there be a better proposal?! It’s so just so personal, pure, good, and sweet! We had to incorporate a little bit of that into their engagement session. Enjoy!

Lambros + Lina | Windsor, Ontario Maternity

Back in 2010, I witnessed the most adorable thing – Lambros seeing his beautiful bride walking down the aisle. Anyone who was there can tell you, it was a moment you would not forget. He had tears in his eyes and you could feel the love all around in the room. It was a beautiful day that I’ve often thought back on, with a smile on my face. I was so honoured when they contacted me to let me know about their growing family and asked me to photograph Lina’s adorable growing belly!

Lambros and Lina, your relationship is a shining light. Your love for each other is pure and good. Your baby is so blessed to have you as parents. Thanks for having Josh and I capture some of your most precious memories. God bless you both!
