Jennifer & Chris| Rock Bottom Bar & Grill & Willistead Park | Windsor, Ontario Engagement Photographers

It couldn’t have been a nicer evening for Jennifer and Chris’s engagement session. It was one of those perfect September days you hope would last the entire year. The breeze just warm enough for a light sweater, the sun hanging lazily in the sky. The evening felt calm and relaxing and suited Jennifer and Chris’s laid back personalities.

Jennifer and Chris are the kind of folks who hold friends and family near and dear to their hearts. Some of their favourite past times include grabbing a drink with friends or going for a stroll with their dogs. Regardless of the activity, if they’re together it’s the pretty much the best.

We started snapping their engagement photos at Rock Bottom Bar and Grill where Jennifer and Chris shared laughs and smiles over a couple brews. We were lucky enough to have the whole upstairs to ourselves for a bit which allowed them the opportunity to cozy up for some lighthearted and sweet moments together.

From there we headed to Willistead Park for a pre-sunset walk along with Daphne their darling bulldog. The three walked together along the paths while the sun slowly set over the top of the trees. As the air began to cool the session took on a more intimate tone, the shady trees and glowing light aiding in the romance of the evening.

Jennifer and Chris, your wedding day is almost here! Speaking with you about your upcoming plans has got us excited to celebrate alongside you, while capturing it all unfold. See you real soon!

Jaclynn & Keith | Post Cafe & Sandwich Town | Windsor, Ontario Engagement Photographers

Jaclynn is adorable, adventurous, and easy to talk to. Keith is witty, handsome, and intelligent. Together they enjoy tasty dinners out, visiting local wineries and cafes, working out, and trotting the globe. They’re the kind of couple you want to grab coffee with, kick back, relax, and shoot the breeze.

For their session, we wanted a location that would be bright, airy, and relaxing. The Post Cafe was the perfect place to start! The tall ceilings, large windows, and delicious drinks were the winning combination. For location number two, we wanted to get outdoors into the fresh spring air. The little, hidden park close by with a dock, walkway, and tall grasses did the trick.

Jaclynn and Keith, thank you for choosing us to take your engagement photos! We have loved our time together and getting to know you both. We’re so looking forward to our next opportunity to work together, on your wedding day!

“Someday, someone is going to look at you with a light in their eyes you’ve never seen, they’ll look at you like you’re everything they’ve been looking for their entire lives. Wait for it.” – Unknown

“From the moment we were engaged in Mexico, the one decision I had no hesitation about was choosing Manifesto to capture what would be the most exciting day of our lives. I found myself admiring their work posted on social media, and knew that they would be able to illustrate the journey of our love story through photography. From the first point of contact, Arica and Josh have made our experience easy and stress-free (which is rare when planning a wedding)! After the initial consultation, they not only had my fiancé Keith and I (Jaclynn) agreeing on hiring them, but actually had us eager to begin. The vibe they gave off as a couple was transpiring! There has been continuous and quick communication throughout the entire process, including the planning of outfits and props for our engagement session. To say we were nervous about the engagement session would be an understatement, as it is not easy to have your picture taken and to just “relax” and “look natural’. However, this wasn’t the case with Arica and Josh. They had us both laughing in no time and made us both feel comfortable and at ease.  We couldn’t have asked to find two better people to help capture our new journey as the soon to be Mr. & Mrs Pataky. Our engagement album is beautiful, and I cannot wait to capture the big day with you both!” – Jaclynn & Keith (more…)

Nelson & Kate | Brunet Park | LaSalle, Ontario Engagement Photographers

Nelson is a sports enthusiast who is charming, sociable, and considerate. Kate is beautiful, sweet, and is a hard-working Veterinarian. Together they are best friends who cherish being together. They share a love for exploring the world, trying the newest foodie hot spots, and treasuring their handsome fur child, Rico ‘Suave’.

The weather could not make up its mind on the day of their engagement session. We weren’t sure if it was going to rain or not, but we all agreed to go for it and hope for the best. Thankfully Nelson & Kate were great sports about the weather because it did rain. They came ready with their umbrella and we made it through a short rain cloud (with some adorable photos) and continued on with the rest of the shoot.

For the first half of their session, we’d focused on some candid shots of Nelson, Kate, and Rico walking together along the tree-lined pathways. For the second half, we wanted a bit of an enchanted forest vibe focusing more on a romantic and intimate feel. We headed deep into the wooded area with a lantern, a cozy blanket, and some candles.

Nelson and Kate, we are so happy that you two found each other. You go so well together! Thank you for choosing us to capture your engagement and wedding photos. Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, and sloppy kisses (mainly from Rico).

Jeanine & Baby Van | Windsor, Ontario Newborn Photographers

Jeanine is a remarkable woman. She’s the co-owner of Three Lambs Registry & Baby Boutique and mom to four great kids. We respect her work ethic, ambition, and commitment to her family. If you’ve ever visited her shop, you’ve probably seen her in action. She can whip up a registry for you, while gift wrapping the best shower gift, and might even be breastfeeding Van all at the same time. In case you were wondering, yes, she is actually superwoman! Shout out to women that raise businesses and babies!

We’ve been lucky enough to know Van’s Mama, for a few years and have had the first-hand experience of registering for our baby shower at her shop. When we found out that she was welcoming her fourth child into her family, we couldn’t wait to photograph her newest lamb.

Jeanine, thank you for allowing us to capture one of your first few days with Van. He is absolutely adorable and so lucky to have such a lovely woman as his mom. We look forward to many more visits to your store. Essie needs a new pair of Tom’s!

Sarah & Matt | Ford Piquette Plant | Detroit, Michigan Destination Engagement Photography

Sarah & Matt have 11 years of romance and laughter behind them, so choosing an engagement location and theme took some serious thought. We wanted something that was unique, represented them as a couple and worked well with their upcoming wedding theme. All of us adored the idea of photographing them in loft of some sort, Matt is a huge car enthusiast, and Sarah worked in Detroit for years… bingo! The Ford Piquette Plant was the top choice! The loft-like and rustic feel of the building complimented the soft and neutral theme of their wedding, plus Matt was happy to be around the historical and beautiful cars. ;)

Sarah & Matt’s relationship has endured long distance, working together, and renovating their home. Their love is easy and after so many years, they know each other as well as they know themselves. They know how to have fun together, which was evident as their smiles didn’t stop throughout the entire walk we did through the plant. We ended their engagement session outside as we took advantage of the grande architecture Detroit has to offer.

Sarah & Matt, thank you for allowing us to plan something that truly represents you. We had a blast exploring the city together! Your friendship and love is beautiful. May you have a lifetime of only the best!

Shauna & Chris | Ciociaro Club | Windsor, Ontario Wedding Photographers

You may remember Shauna and Chris from their engagement session last year, when we spent an evening enjoying the warmth of summer and ended our session with the best sunset! We were so thrilled to be able to see them again, only this time on their wedding day!

From the moment Shauna met Chris, they knew they were each others’ long-lost halves. The love they each have for their families initially attracted them to one another, but as their friendship grew beyond acquaintance, love for family blossomed into a love for one another. The two make the best of friends, and we were privileged to witness them exchange vows on their gorgeous wedding day!

Shauna started her day with her bridesmaids, enjoying mimosas and recounting fond memories with each one. Shauna had her hair done by Jennafer Marier from Salon Utopia, and makeup done by Vanessa Steele and Carly Nicodemo. She wore a stunning off-the-shoulder mermaid-cut gown from Jealous Bridesmaids, and finished her look with classic nude Louboutins, a wedding gift from Chris! Shauna’s bridesmaids wore long gowns in various champagne tones from Bridal Couture, and once all the girls were ready to go, they gathered round outside for a celebratory confetti toast before leaving for the church.

Chris began the morning hanging out with his best men, suiting up in a sleek navy suit with black lapels designed by Sam Habib at The Suit Shop, velvet Ferragamo shoes completing his look. Chris’s groomsmen wore brown jackets paired with navy trousers. Once Chris was ready to go, he lifted a celebratory toast with all the groomsmen and headed out to the ceremony.

Shauna and Chris said I do surrounded by the happy faces and well wishes of friends and family in a ceremony at St. Angela’s Church. The love between them was abundantly evident as Shauna walked down the aisle. Both Chris and Shauna gazed at one another with eyes filled the most adorable admiration. After the ceremony concluded, the excitement of the morning spilled over into the reception at the Ciociaro Club; guests were able to mingle while being enticed by delicious antipasto platters and serenaded by Josh Johnson’s timeless vocals. The celebration of Chris and Shauna’s love lasted far into the night, as timeless memories bloomed under the stars.

Shauna and Chris, congratulations on your marriage! We are so thrilled you both found one another to walk with through life, and thankful to have been able to share your wedding with you. We wish you guys nothing but the best and are excited to see what’s in store for you both!

Manifesto Photography | Windsor Ontario Wedding Photographers | St. Angela's Church | Ciociaro ClubReviews about Manifesto“Manifesto Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with!  Josh & Arica (and their team) made this entire journey so enjoyable- from our engagement session to our wedding they were there to answer any questions we had without hesitation.  They are so much more than photographers and made sure everything on our wedding day went smooth.  They captured our wedding in the most incredible way and we are so thankful for all of the special memories we now have.  Josh & Arica did not miss a beat and captured every piece of the wedding (even moments we didn’t even notice during the day). We cannot thank them enough for being so talented and for being such genuine people. We would highly recommend Manifesto Photography to anyone looking for incredible photos (after all, the photos are one of the only things you get to take with you when the whole wedding process is complete!) Thank you from the bottom of our hearts” -Shauna & Chris

Tim & Jordyn | Sandwich Post Cafe & Burnet Park | Windsor, Ontario Engagement Photographers

Sometimes fate hits you at the most unexpected of times, like…while you’re working! Jordyn and Tim met while on the job for the City of Windsor and formed a connection instantly. Their friendship grew deeper over adventuring outdoors, hanging out in the best spots around Detroit, and being on the water. It’s fitting then, given their love for being on the water and exploring Detroit, that for their anniversary Tim proposed to Jordyn on top of the Detroit Princess during a sunset cruise. He waited till the top deck was clear towards the end of the night then lead Jordyn up to take in the beautiful view; he proposed as the sun set! Full of excitement and love, Jordyn said yes and the two began their journey towards becoming husband and wife.

For Jordyn and Tim’s engagement session, we decided to begin our shoot at the charming Sandwich Post Cafe in Sandwich Town where Jordyn and Tim cozied up together over mugs of hot tea, watching the world move outside from the big windows by the bar.

From there we went to Burnet Park, a great location to showcase their love for nature, and a place their handsome German Shepherd-Lab mix Charlie could appreciate! We went closer to sunset to take advantage of the beautiful autumn light and were not disappointed. The sun set slowly as Jordyn and Tim walked through the tall grass below the rows of trees freshly bare from the last time the leaves fell. They walked hand in hand, laughing and smiling at each other, enjoying the time they were were able to spend in that moment.

Jordyn and Tim, congratulations on this next step towards becoming husband and wife! We had so much fun shooting your engagement and can’t wait to see you both again on your wedding day!

Manifesto Photography|Windsor Ontario Engagement Photographers| Post Cafe and Burnet Park, LaSalle Ontario“I saw the work of Manifesto a few years ago before I had ever even imagined what my dream wedding might look like. I immediately fell in love! I used to look through their photos on my study breaks throughout University and imagine how many ways they could capture the love Tim and I share. As soon as Tim proposed to me I remember thinking I need to lock in a date and venue just so I could book Manifesto and ultimately make all my engagement and wedding photo dreams come true. To say it was amazing to work with Arica and Josh on my engagement photos would be a complete understatement. For some reason Tim and I were extremely nervous as we’ve never been photographed in this sort of setting before, Arica and Josh made us laugh, loosen up, and act ourselves while showing how excited and in love we are. With only giving Arica and Josh a few short last minute ideas of what Tim and I wanted they were able to entirely read into the theme we were looking for, while providing endless ideas and possibilities. I will continuously recommend Manifesto to everyone because I know they will have an unforgettable experience just like Tim and I did.” – Jordyn & Tim
