Amanda & Brandon’s love is like no other. It’s crazy about each other, laugh with one another, cry with one another, move across countries to be with one another type of love. No, seriously, Amanda moved from Georgia, USA to Ontario, Canada to marry the love of her life who she just happened to meet while they were both on the same cruise. Last July we had the privilege of documenting the day they said ‘I do’ to forever.
Amanda is as hilarious as she is kind, she is thoughtful and she has killer style. She started her day with her girls getting ready at The Grove Hotel in Kingsville. The room itself had blush couches and plush chairs, damask wallpaper covered the walls, and pewter and silver details decorated the room. Her bridesmaids’ dresses, which ranged in colour from blush to gold with the perfect amount of sparkles, hung from wood hangers detailed with their names. Amanda’s Bravura dress hung from the window on a hanger appropriately labeled ‘Bride’. If Amanda was nervous she didn’t show it as made her way around the room perfecting her and her girl’s makeup and pouring some bubbly for a toast. She took a moment before getting dressed to gift her mom a handkerchief with the words ‘You’ll always be my person’, a sentence that held even more weight as she prepared to move her life from one country to another. I cried… obviously. Once Amanda stepped into her dress, slipped her shoes on and added the final details – earrings and a bracelet – she was ready to meet Brandon at the Hill N’ Dale Bed & Breakfast down the road for their first look.
Brandon’s morning was equally as relaxed, and equally as meaningful. He spent the morning with his groomsmen – they worked together to figure out their ties – and his new pup, who had a bowtie of his own. He spent a moment with his mom who gifted him a chain from his father and then celebrated with his groomsmen as he poured some whiskey, said a toast and headed to meet up with Amanda.
The Hill N’ Dale Bed & Breakfast in Kingsville is gorgeous! The grounds boast forestry, brick walls covered with ivy and wrought iron gates. Brandon stood with his back turned as Amanda approached from the house and tapped him on the shoulder. Their reactions were them as a couple through and through – they alternated between love for one another, evident in the tears that Brandon barely held back and the way they hugged each other tight, and jokes, laughter and poking fun at one another. They spent a few minutes taking portraits together as the soon to be Mr. & Mrs. before joining their wedding party.
Their ceremony took place in the vineyards at Mastronardi Estate Winery – a natural choice as Brandon’s Godparents own it! The guests mingled and took their seats as Brandon and his groomsmen moved up to the front, and Amanda’s bridesmaids began their walk down the aisle. Everyone rose as Amanda made her entrance and Brandon’s eyes were on her as she made her way towards him. Their ceremony was heartfelt and hilarious – the usual theme with these two.
The reception was held just inside at Mastronardi Estate Winery. The room was decorated in natural white and gold tones, with greenery and lights hanging from the ceiling, adding a magical feeling to the room. Pictures from their engagement session decorated the guestbook table. Amanda & Brandon kicked off the party with a ‘shot cam’ to the song “Fireball” passing around a bottle with a go-pro attached to anyone willing to take a shot. They continued the party with their speeches, took a few minutes outside to capture sunset portraits, before kicking off the dance floor with their first dance and parent dances.
Amanda and Brandon, your story and your love are one of a kind. Your day was beautiful and full of meaning, and we are so grateful to have been able to capture it for you! Here’s to a lifetime of adventures, fun, and adorable puppy kisses.
