Sonja and Mitchell enjoy the simple pleasures in life: time with people they love, long walks on their family farms, and caring for animals. They are both happy down to earth souls with adventurous hearts that found the perfect partner in each other.
Being big family people with a love for nature, we knew their session had take place on both of their family farms. Sonja’s family’s property featured her Grandmother’s adorable art shed, a pond, and giant trees. Mitchell’s family farm has been in his family for generations and is extremely meaningful to his family and Sonja. It is also the spot that Mitchell decided to ask Sonja to be his wife. When we arrived, we asked them to show us around some of their favourite spots. We loved meeting the curious cows, strolling along the fields, and catching the sunset with them at the end of their session.
Sonja and Mitchell, thank you for trusting us with capturing your engagement photos! We have absolutely loved working with you and your families. Your genuine love for each other is beautiful, and we could not be happier to see you all come together through your marriage! What an excellent combination.
“Baby, If I had to choose my best day ever, my finest hour, my wildest dream come true, mine would be you.” -Blake Shelton
“When beginning to plan our wedding, we were unsure of where to start. We knew the location that we wanted but had no idea who to book for anything else. Upon asking around for advice on photographers, Manifesto seemed to be a common recommendation. We looked at their website and social media pages and quickly realized that their work was amazing. It was not long into our initial meeting with them that we made the decision that they were the ones we wanted to photograph our wedding. Josh and Arica are warm, welcoming and so easy to get along with. In the meeting, they were already creating wedding day timelines and giving us advice on other areas of our big day. I could tell they were as excited for our big day as we were and we left the meeting feeling so excited and relieved.
It then came time for our engagement shoot, which Mitch and I were nervous for. We were shocked at how quickly we got comfortable with being photographed. We went to both of our family farms for the session and we were blown away by how creative their ideas were. They had never been to either place before but yet knew exactly what they wanted to do. We left the session so pleased with how awesome of an experience the session was and excited to see how the pictures would turn out.
Shortly after the session Josh and Arica had Mitch and I as well as our parents over for a viewing session of our engagement photos. We were all blown away by how the pictures turned out. They were so natural and fun. They had captured so much feeling and personality in the photos it was incredible.
We are beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to have Josh and Arica capture our big day.” – Sonja & Mitchell
